Board Officers

Salim Saiyed, MD
President

Dr. Salim Saiyed is Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer at UPMC Pinnacle. He is board-certified in Clinical Informatics and a practicing physician. He has led over a dozen implementations across the country, including spearheading implementation of Epic across UPMC Pinnacle five hospitals. He teaches at Johns Hopkins on leading healthcare change.

 


Glenn Mitchell,MD, MPH
Past President

Dr. Mitchell obtained his ScB in Physics, ScM in Engineering and MD degrees from Brown University and his MPH in biostatistics from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and preventive medicine and serves as Vice-Provost and Professor of Healthcare Informatics at Harrisburg University. Previously, he was Chief Medical Officer for the nearly 6,000 physician, 32-hospital Mercy Health System in St Louis, MO and a consultant on physician change management, focusing on education and strategy to deal with generational differences, conflict resolution, communications planning and new IT program implementation. A retired US Army colonel, Dr. Mitchell commanded a teaching medical center, oversaw multiple overseas humanitarian missions, and received the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Secretary of the Army’s Research and Development Award, and three awards of the Legion of Merit. He is currently the President of the Central PA Chapter of the Health Information Management Systems Society and is the former vice-chair of the American Board of Preventive Medicine and past president of the Aerospace Medical Association. Dr. Mitchell serves on the Board of the Brown University Medical Alumni Association.


Michael Seavers, PhD, MHA, MBA
Secretary

Dr. Michael Seavers is the Program Lead and Assistant Professor of Healthcare Informatics at Harrisburg University. Dr. Seavers has a varied background in IT, business, and healthcare spanning many decades. Dr. Seavers began as a programmer analyst at Shared Medical Systems and later at General Electric in their Aerospace Division. Dr. Seavers then worked in IT management in the pick-pack-and-ship industry being employed at companies like Book-of-the-Month Club (Time Warner) and Hanover Direct during the .COM expansion.

As the .COM industry went bust, Dr. Seavers moved to the healthcare industry. Dr. Seavers worked at Capital BlueCross for nearly two decades. The first decade was as a Senior Manager in the IT department and the second decade as the Senior Director of Claims and later the Senior Director of Enrollment and Billing. Dr. Seavers focus was automation of labor utilizing software robotics for healthcare.

After a varied career background and various formal degrees, Dr. Seavers is very pleased to be teaching at Harrisburg University.


Shishir Chaudhari
Treasurer

Mr. Shishir Chaudhari is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of iBusiness Solution, LLC (“IBS”) in Mechanicsburg, PA (http://ibusinesssolution.com). He has more than 23 years of significant experience in the field of sales, marketing and IT consulting - and been recognized for his achievements and leadership qualities in his field. He is a Recipient of “GREAT ACHIEVER OF INDIA” award from the Front for National Progress, New Delhi, India -1999. He was Awarded “PRIDE OF INDIA” in 2016 by TV5 News/Mana TV a leading regional news channel in US and India. He was mentioned as a “SUBJECT OF BIOGRAPHICAL RECORD” by Marquis Who’s Who Publications in 2017. He is currently on the Board and Treasurer of Central PA Chapter HIMSS.

Mr. Chaudhari’s expertise in sales, marketing, and management as well as his focused approach in IT consulting has led IBS to grow from US $ 2 million (in 2006) to US $ 22 million (in 2019). Both in 2015 and 2016 his exceptional leadership skills and personal commitment to serve his clients provided a platform for IBS to be recognized as “Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies” both in 2015 and 2016 by Central Pennsylvania Business Journal.

Buddy Gillespie
Advocacy Chair

William (“Buddy”) Gillespie is a highly accomplished visionary and driven Senior Healthcare CIO/CTO and IT Executive and Leader with extensive experience and achievements within Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), including strategic positioning, budgeting, staff recruitment, customer service, implementation and consulting, customer support, customer relationship management, sales/marketing, privacy and security (HCISPP), and collaborative relationship positioning with multiple HIT vendors and business associates.  Buddy’s expertise in Health Information Technology, and most recently with Analytics and Health Information Exchange (HIE) has included extensive work with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), state-wide HIEs, and marketing of Disaster Recovery/Cloud Hosting solutions.  Buddy’s results have been based on strengths in leadership, business/clinical optimization, project management, data center design/operations, service management (ITSM, ITIL), vendor contract negotiations and partner management, third party partner relationship management, consulting services, service development/improvement, process re-engineering(Six Sigma, CQI), and sales/marketing of HIT solutions.

Adam Kehler

Adam is a proven leader in health information security with over 10 years performing consulting services in Health Information Privacy and Security which builds on his over 25 years’ experience in technology. Adam holds CISSP and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications and has conducted hundreds of Health Information Security Risk Assessments and Compliance Gap Analyses for Healthcare organizations focused on meeting HIPAA/HTECH, Meaningful Use, and MARS-Ev2 requirements. Adam has a proven ability to address the most technical aspects of information security while maintaining an ability to translate complex issues to non-technical audiences.

Adam’s speaking experience includes the HIMSS Security Forum, HIMSS Chapter Events, and PCI International Community Meetings. Adam has written Privacy and Security resource materials for ONC Communities of Practice, the HITEQ Center, and several security-related publications.

Mike has 20+ years of experience in the Talent Recruitment industry with an emphasis in the Healthcare Information Technology industry. He is Vice President of Client Solutions at Bluebird Staffing (www.bluebirdstaffing.com), a national leader in Clinical and Healthcare Information Technology Talent Recruitment. Mike oversees and manages the Client Relationships, Engagements, Services, Strategic Initiatives and overall success, nationwide, whether it's an Epic or Cerner EMR Implementation, a Full SDLC project, Legacy Support or the need for Physicians and Nurses at any and all levels, locations, etc. Mike has managed projects and accounts over $30M in annual budget or revenue. He is a multi-term board member of Central PA Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (www.HIMSS.org) where he is responsible for the Programs Committee. Additionally, in 2017, Mike was elected to the Board of School Directors for East Pennsboro School District (Enola, PA), where he serves as District Treasurer. Mike, resides in Camp Hill. His most important role in life is he's a proud father of a 12 year old daughter and plays an avid part in coaching youth to high school sports.


Kristen Dubesky

Kristen Dubesky is the Chief Analytics Officer with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. She is responsible for utilizing enterprise information assets and data insights that drive strategic and operational business opportunities. Kristen oversees the Enterprise Data Warehouse and leads the integration of all types of data (financial, clinical, claims, patient satisfaction, and benchmarks).

She works closely with operational, service line, and physician leaders in the effective use of data and analytics to drive outcomes.

Over the past seven years, Kristen delivered success across corporate and regional operations and service lines, strengthening Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health’s focus on data driving decision-making and high reliability. Her teams supported over $1M of reimbursement in shared savings arrangements with our payers. In her position, she sets the strategic direction and leads a high quality analytic platform and service department.

Kristen previously served as Director of Enterprise Analytics at Geisinger Health System. Throughout her 19 year career in the Healthcare industry, she has been affecting corporate performance through the skillful design, development and deployment of large-scale transformation projects, financial analysis and analytic initiatives. She continues to be an industry leader in the development of analysis and reporting of organizational performance factors including costs, systems effectiveness and quality issues in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Kristen received a Master of Science Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Applied Statistics and a Bachelor’s Degree from Bloomsburg University in Mathematics.


Kim Suda

Kim Suda is a registered nurse with over 25 years nursing experience in the acute care and post-acute care environments. That experience includes expanding and improving a stroke program at a multi-hospital health system including obtaining and maintaining disease specific certifications from The Joint Commission; helping to establish a telemedicine program for use within at a multi-hospital health system for several specialties as well for use at non-affiliated acute care hospitals and to improve transitions of care in the skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting; developing and planning numerous educational events for healthcare professions; with SNF admissions processes, clinical capabilities, CMS requirements, and SNF reimbursement. She also has experience as the manager of the post-acute care network an ACO. There she was responsible for ensuring that initiatives for improving processes, quality, and outcomes for both Medicare Shared Savings Program and Next Generation ACO beneficiaries were implemented in the post-acute care network across a large geographic area. This included developing criteria for post-acute care preferred providers, developing contracting components including risk sharing, vendor management, establishing relationships, contract negotiations, and program oversight. Kim, is currently the Manager for Network Performance for HM Home & Community Services (HCS), a division of Highmark Health, for central and eastern Pennsylvania as well as the state of Delaware. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing staff and working directly with healthcare providers to help them improve the quality of care that they provide, assist in their understanding of changes in healthcare, reviewing outcomes, sharing best practices, as well as bridging the communication gap between post-acute care providers, acute care hospitals, and physician practices for Delaware, Central Pennsylvania, and Eastern Pennsylvania regions. In addition to her nursing degrees, she is certified in neuroscience nursing (CNRN) and has also obtained a MBA in health administration. Her previous affiliations include HCR ManorCare, Pinnacle Health System, and the RiverHealth ACO.
