Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Martin Ciccocioppo

At its Annual Meeting and Holiday Event in December 2017, CPAHIMSS awarded its first ever Lifetime Achievement Award to longtime Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania executive and current Director of Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Program, Martin Ciccocioppo.

"Martin has been behind nearly every advance in the application of health technology in healthcare in Pennsylvania for more than two decades," said Mark Stevens, past president of CPAHIMSS and the executive director of the PA eHealth Initiative during Ciccocioppo's board chairmanship.  "We're fortunate he is continuing to advance health information technology in his role with the state."

Ciccocioppo holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (with dual majors in health care management and computer applications), a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Health Administration degree, all from The Pennsylvania State University. In addition to his role with the Commonwealth, Ciccocioppo also serves as an adjunct professor of health information technology at The Pennsylvania State University. He is the father of four daughters and lives with his wife in Harrisburg.
